Current research

My current research is part of the international, cross-cultural researchprogramme Human Rights and Religion. This researchprogramme takes up the following question:

What are the effects of religious convictions, rituals and practices on human rights attitudes among Christian, Islamic and non-religious youth at the and of higher secondary and beginning tertiary education in various countries, while controlling for relevant population characteristics?

Around this question I have already published, also in cooperation with others, several books and articles: see the submenu item selected articles at the left side of this page. A general and concluding publication of the results of the Human rights and religion programme is scheduled between 2010 and 2012.
